Brewers lead World Series 2-0 as Game 3 begins at Tropicana Field
The Milwaukee Brewers hold a 2-0 series lead over the Tampa Bay Rays with Game 3 underway at the Rays' home stadium.
The World Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays has moved to Tropicana Field for Game 3, as reported by Yahoo Sports. The Brewers currently lead the series 2-0 after winning the first two games.
The Rays started Game 2 strong with a four-run lead but were unable to maintain it, allowing the Brewers to come back and win 5-4. Sal Frelick tied the game with a homer in the sixth inning, and Cooper Pratt drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning.
For Game 3, the Brewers are starting left-hander Robert Gasser, who recently pitched five scoreless innings in the National League Championship Series. The Rays counter with right-hander Freddy Peralta, who was named the American League Championship Series MVP for his strong pitching performances.
Yahoo Sports also noted that the Rays are looking to avoid falling into a 3-0 deficit in the series as they play on their home field. The game is broadcast on Fox and Fox Deportes, with ESPN Radio providing radio coverage.
