Voting is underway for the Big Bend Preps Athlete of the Week with six nominees, including football players with notable performances, according to Yahoo Sports.

In Southwest Florida, 12 boys and 15 girls athletes are competing for their respective Athlete of the Week honors, with awards including T-shirts and tote bags provided by local sponsors, Yahoo Sports reported.

The Southwest Florida boys nominees include players with impressive rushing and passing stats, as well as athletes excelling in cross country, golf, diving, and swimming, while the girls' nominees represent various sports such as volleyball, swimming, and bowling.

Additional voting opportunities are available for the Central Florida Behavioral Health Network/Herald-Tribune Boys and Girls Athlete of the Week and the Brevard Girls Athlete of the Week for the same week, as noted by Yahoo Sports.

Winners will be announced on social media and local news outlets after voting closes, allowing communities to recognize standout high school athletes across multiple sports and regions in Florida.
