Quinn Hughes, formerly the Vancouver Canucks captain, scored a goal and assisted another in his return to Rogers Arena, helping the Minnesota Wild secure a 4-2 win over the Canucks, Yahoo Sports reported.

Hughes' goal marked his 500th NHL point, achieved in 520 games, making him the second-fastest American defenseman to reach this milestone, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Wild took an early lead with goals from Maxim Shabanov and Bobby Brink, and Kirill Kaprizov added the NHL-leading 13th goal of his season, contributing to the team's 8-3-2 record, Yahoo Sports noted.

Vancouver, struggling this season, started strong but was unable to maintain momentum, suffering their 10th consecutive loss. Goalie Leevi Merilainen made 30 saves, while Minnesota's Calvin Pickard earned his first win with the team, making 16 saves.

The game featured mixed reactions for Hughes, who was booed by the home crowd but also received some cheers for his milestone achievement.

Minnesota is currently 2-1-1 on their ongoing five-game road trip, with the win following a 5-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken, Yahoo Sports added.
