Batmobile from 'Batman Returns' to be auctioned in Los Angeles

Julien's Auction and Turner Classic Movies are hosting "The Ultimate Batmobile Auction" in Los Angeles on November 23, featuring the Batmobile from Tim Burton's 1992 film "Batman Returns," CBS News Los Angeles reported.

The Batmobile, custom-built by Carl Casper with a fiberglass body on two Chevrolet Impala chassis and a radio-controlled flaming exhaust, is expected to fetch up to $7 million, according to the auction house.

Besides the Batmobile, the auction will include other Batman memorabilia such as an original Batsuit and cowl from "Batman Returns," an art department model of the Batmobile from Burton's 1989 "Batman," and grapple guns from various Batman films.

The event will also showcase props and costumes from other superhero franchises, including Captain America's shield, Wesley Snipes' sunglasses from "Blade," and Superman's costume from 1987's "Superman IV."

Interested bidders can participate in person in Los Angeles or online. More details are available at juliensauctions.com/en.
