Community holds viewing for 12-year-old girl killed in West Baltimore shooting
Loved ones gathered Friday to remember Khloe Ishway, killed in a shooting during a youth football game at Leon Day Park.
A viewing service was held Friday at Wylie Funeral Home in West Baltimore for 12-year-old Khloe Ishway, who was fatally shot during a youth football game at Leon Day Park, FOX45 Baltimore reported. The community came together to remember Khloe ahead of her funeral scheduled for Saturday at the Palladium Center on Liberty Heights Avenue.
Khloe was caught in the crossfire of a dispute between two men over a parking spot, which escalated to gunfire. Police have arrested 23-year-old Tyree Reynolds in connection with the shooting. Four people were shot in total, with Khloe later dying from her injuries, according to FOX45 Baltimore.
Family friend Shannon Ballard described the loss as crushing and said Khloe was a familiar and beloved presence in the neighborhood. Ballard said she needed closure and that Khloe often played with her children in the community.
Khloe's mother expressed a desire for justice for her daughter. Authorities continue to search for a second alleged gunman involved in the incident, FOX45 Baltimore reported.
