Economist Loren Spivack to speak on economics and socialism in Tyler

Grassroots America is hosting economist and author Loren Spivack, known as “The Free Market Warrior,” for a presentation on November 10 in Tyler, according to tylerpaper.com.

Spivack, founder of Free Market Warrior and author of seven satirical best-selling books, has delivered his Economic Literacy seminars to over 200 groups in more than 20 states.

His presentation will focus on economics and the failures of socialism, using facts, satire, and humor, the report said.

The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Tyler – Convention Center, starting with an election results presentation at 6 p.m., followed by Spivack's talk and a book signing until 9 p.m.

An optional buffet dinner is available before the program, and attendance is free with no registration or membership required. The group encourages dining to support local businesses and jobs.
