Rachel Reeves, a former UK chancellor, stated that Brexit has made Britain "poorer, weaker and less secure," according to The Guardian.
Writing in the Sunday Times, Reeves expressed that the UK's future should be inside the European Union.
She welcomed the leadership of Andy Burnham, following recent remarks by the UK prime minister that raised questions about the possibility of Britain rejoining the EU or adopting its freedom of movement rules.
Reeves' comments highlight ongoing debates within the UK about its relationship with the EU post-Brexit.
