Inde Navarrette hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time on the show's Halloween episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. The actress opened her monologue by referencing her breakout role in the movie Obsession and joked about her relationship with her boyfriend, who was shown bound in the audience.

Navarrette then addressed a recent joke made by Shane Gillis during his SNL monologue earlier in October, which commented on women dressing like "whores" at the gym. Navarrette said, "Every morning, I put on my little whore outfit, and I hit the gym," tying it to her preparation for her role as Rogue in the upcoming Marvel Studios X-Men reboot.

She noted the importance of fitness for her Marvel role and used the line as a callback to Gillis’ controversial comment, which described women’s gym attire as "neon, artificial vape-colored shorts."

The episode also featured a cold open with Tom Hanks reprising his David S. Pumpkins character, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

Navarrette’s monologue combined humor about her career, her personal life, and current pop culture moments, including a critique of a fellow SNL cast member’s earlier remarks.
