Central Florida, including the Orlando area, is experiencing gusty northeast winds with sustained speeds of 15 to 20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph, according to WKMG News 6 ClickOrlando. Rain chances are elevated between 40% and 70%, with the possibility of storms producing heavy downpours and wind gusts up to 45 mph.

The showers are moving from northeast to southwest, and repeated rounds of rain could cause minor, localized flooding, particularly near the coast. Rain chances are expected to remain high on Thursday before decreasing on Friday, WKMG reported.

Beach conditions along the entire East Central Florida coast remain hazardous due to breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet, strong rip currents, and ongoing king tides contributing to beach erosion. A High Surf Advisory and Coastal Flood Warning are currently in effect, according to WKMG.

King tides are also increasing the risk of coastal flooding and beach erosion in the region. Although water levels may be slightly lower than the previous day, the dangerous conditions persist, WKMG noted.
