Gwinnett County police arrested a 48-year-old woman in connection with a fatal fentanyl overdose that occurred earlier this month in Lawrenceville, according to FOX 5 Atlanta and Atlanta News First.

Officers responded on October 13 to a home on Wetlands Court where a victim was found dead from an overdose. Investigators identified the woman as the suspected source of the narcotics involved in the death, WSB-TV reported.

The woman faces charges including felony murder, aggravated involuntary manslaughter by causing a fentanyl overdose death, sale of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, and other drug-related offenses, according to Atlanta News First and FOX 5 Atlanta.

Authorities have not released the identity or age of the overdose victim or details about the specific drugs recovered during the arrest, as noted by FOX 5 Atlanta.

The Gwinnett County Police Department provided official information about the investigation and arrest in a law enforcement press release, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.
