Progressive Twitch streamer Hasan Piker has filed a defamation lawsuit against conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings, according to The Hill.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Washington, D.C., accuses Jennings of falsely claiming that Piker advocated lynching Black Americans.

The legal action centers on an August 11 episode of "The Scott Jennings Show," during which an edited video of Piker's remarks was aired.

Piker's 38-page lawsuit alleges that the edited video misrepresented his statements, leading to defamatory claims by Jennings.
