Man arrested after threatening wife with gun in Florin standoff
Sacramento deputies arrested a man on felony charges after a standoff following a domestic violence incident in Florin.
Sacramento County Sheriff's Office reported that a man was arrested Wednesday night after threatening his wife with a handgun during a domestic violence incident in the Florin area. Earlier that day, the man allegedly struck his wife multiple times, put a gun to her neck, and threatened to shoot her before hitting her in the forehead, according to FOX40.
The woman escaped the home with her children and called law enforcement. Deputies responded to the 6800 block of Klingon Court and set up a perimeter around the residence.
Despite several calls from deputies, the man initially refused to leave the home. After about 40 minutes, he surrendered without incident, the sheriff’s office said.
A search of the home uncovered four loaded firearms, including the handgun used in the threat, two rifles, a semi-automatic shotgun, numerous rounds of ammunition, and six high-capacity rifle magazines, one holding 60 rounds.
The man was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple felony charges. His bail was set at $200,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, according to FOX40.
