Man arrested in San Mateo after police find significant collection of guns

San Mateo police arrested a man following a high-speed chase and discovered a large number of firearms at his home.

San Mateo police stopped a Dodge Journey for traffic violations shortly after 6:40 p.m. on Friday, leading to a high-speed chase, KRON4 reported.

The driver, a 19-year-old San Mateo resident named Israel Lavea, was arrested during the incident, according to KRON4.

After the arrest, police searched the home and found what they described as a "significant collection of firearms," KRON4 stated.
