The Miami Hurricanes are ranked No. 1 in The Associated Press Top 25 for the first time since 2002, according to CBS News Miami and WPLG Local 10.

Miami took over the top spot from Georgia, which had held No. 1 for one week before losing to Auburn at home, CBS News Miami reported.

BYU is ranked No. 2, its highest placement since its 1984 national championship season, while Notre Dame and Georgia remain in the top five despite recent close losses, WPLG Local 10 noted.
