Missouri RB Ahmad Hardy to make season debut vs. Arkansas after May shooting
Missouri All-American running back Ahmad Hardy will return to play against Arkansas after recovering from a leg shooting in May.
Missouri's All-American running back Ahmad Hardy is set to make his season debut in the upcoming game against the Arkansas Razorbacks, Yahoo Sports reported.
Hardy missed the first seven games of the season while recovering from a leg injury sustained in a shooting incident at a concert in May, according to Yahoo Sports.
Though Hardy will not start, he is expected to receive a limited number of carries as he returns to game action, having resumed practice earlier this week.
Last season, Hardy led the SEC with 1,649 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, earning consensus All-American honors and a spot on the All-SEC First Team.
Missouri has compiled a 5-2 overall record this season without Hardy, with Jamal Roberts stepping up as the leading rusher in the SEC so far.
The Tigers face a challenging schedule after Arkansas, including games against highly ranked teams such as Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, as they aim to remain in College Football Playoff contention.
