Jacob Misiorowski, the Milwaukee Brewers ace, left Game 5 of the World Series early after experiencing discomfort on the mound, according to Yahoo Sports. The pitcher met with a medical trainer during the sixth inning and was unable to continue, leaving the game after throwing 86 pitches.

Misiorowski had pitched 5 2/3 shutout innings, allowing only two hits and one walk, and had two strikeouts. At the time of his exit, the Brewers held a 4-0 lead against the Tampa Bay Rays. JoJo Romero took over pitching duties to complete the sixth inning.

The Brewers announced that Misiorowski was dealing with a calf cramp. This was not the first time Misiorowski had experienced leg cramping issues; previous starts in 2025 and 2026 saw him leave games due to right leg cramps including calf, quad, and hamstring cramps, as reported by Yahoo Sports.

Despite the early exit, Misiorowski had performed strongly in the World Series, having won Game 1 with five one-run innings and pitching effectively in Game 5 before leaving. The Brewers held a 3-1 series lead following Game 5, putting them nine outs away from a World Series title.

The team had not provided further updates on Misiorowski's condition immediately following the game. The World Series Game 5 continued with the Brewers aiming to close out the championship series.

Fans were also engaged in a watch party at Deer District during the game, as Yahoo Sports livestreamed the event, highlighting the community's support for the Brewers during this critical postseason moment.
