One dead, multiple hospitalized after Chesterfield crash on Spring Run Road

Chesterfield County Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred just before 5 p.m. on October 28 near the 10000 block of Spring Run Road, according to NBC12.

The crash involved a Honda Civic traveling south that crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram 1500, police said.

At least one person died in the crash; the victim's identity has not been released pending family notification, NBC12 reported.

Multiple people were hospitalized following the crash. Sources confirmed to WTVR CBS 6 that several individuals were taken to hospitals, including one who was airlifted with life-threatening injuries.

WRIC 8News also reported three people were hospitalized following the crash, indicating some variation in initial injury counts.

Spring Run Road was expected to remain closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Chesterfield County Police or Crime Solvers.
