The Coastal Flood Advisory for the Elizabeth City area will expire at 2 p.m. Thursday as the king tide recedes, according to WITN.

Temperatures are forecast to rise into the mid to upper 70s on Thursday under gradually clearing skies, with sunny weather becoming more consistent by Friday. Afternoon highs could near 80 degrees, while overnight lows will stay in the low to mid 50s.

Clouds will return over the Halloween weekend, with mostly to completely cloudy skies expected through Sunday. Temperatures will slightly decrease to the mid to upper 70s during the day and remain in the low to mid 50s overnight.

Rain chances will increase in the first week of November, though daily chances are expected to stay below 50 percent due to model uncertainty. Light to moderate showers are likely early in the week, with heavier showers and storms possible later on.
