Newborns in the neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and Rady Children's at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla participated in an annual Halloween tradition, FOX 5 San Diego reported.

The infants wore handmade costumes to mark the holiday, bringing a festive spirit to the hospital units.

This celebration is part of a yearly event that allows staff and families to honor the holiday while supporting the newborns' care environment.

The tradition helps create a sense of community and joy for families and staff during the challenging time of neonatal care.
