The Arthur Ravenel Bridge experienced a multi-vehicle collision on October 29 that blocked the two left southbound lanes, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department and local news outlets.

The crash occurred around 12:39 p.m., prompting the closure of two lanes heading toward Charleston. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and no injuries were reported by officers.

Traffic cameras showed heavy backups on the southbound side of the bridge during the incident. The Mount Pleasant Police Department announced the lanes reopened at approximately 1:48 p.m., just over an hour after the crash was reported.

Authorities continue to monitor traffic conditions on the bridge. Drivers are advised to stay informed about any future incidents that may affect travel across the Ravenel Bridge.
