Squirrelloween brings fall fun and trick-or-treating to Richmond's CarMax Park
Richmond's annual Squirrelloween event offered candy, hay rides, and activities at CarMax Park for families.
The annual Squirrelloween event took place Friday at Richmond's CarMax Park, providing a safe and festive environment for families to celebrate Halloween, WTVR CBS 6 reported.
Participants enjoyed a variety of activities including trick-or-treating around the ballpark, hay rides, pumpkin decorating, crafts, and a costume contest, according to Megan Angstadt, vice president of community and fan engagement at CarMax Park.
The event aims to serve the local neighborhoods, especially those without traditional trick-or-treating options, creating a welcoming space for the entire community, Angstadt said.
Many families have made attending Squirrelloween a tradition, continuing even after the ballpark's name changed from The Diamond to CarMax Park.
Attendees also engaged in lighthearted debates about favorite Halloween candies, highlighting the event's community spirit and festive atmosphere.
