Kitten thrown into traffic in Brevard finds home with rescuers
A kitten tossed into traffic in Brevard County over the summer has recovered and now lives with the couple who saved her.
A 6-month-old kitten named Aurora was thrown from a moving vehicle into oncoming traffic in Brevard County during the summer, FOX 35 Orlando reported.
A couple driving behind the vehicle initially thought they saw litter blowing across the highway but soon realized it was a live animal in distress. They stopped and later worked with Kitten Angel Rescue volunteers who found and cared for the injured kitten.
Aurora underwent months of specialized veterinary treatment before making a full recovery. The rescuers, Sam and Elyssa Pecora, welcomed her into their home where she has adjusted well to family life.
No police report was filed, and the driver who threw the kitten was not identified. The Pecoras and local rescue groups encourage pet owners in hardship to use community resources and safe surrender options instead of risking animal lives.
