Thousands gather in Wynwood and Coral Gables for Halloween festivities
Families, friends, and pets enjoy Halloween in Miami with costumes, candy, and street events.
WSVN reported that Halloween celebrations took place across South Florida, including in Miami's Wynwood and Coral Gables neighborhoods. Children dressed in costumes were seen trick-or-treating along Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, while families in Coconut Grove enjoyed the holiday atmosphere before nightfall.
In Wynwood, a large crowd gathered to enjoy themed sights and costume contests. Attendees wore a variety of outfits, from characters like Mario and Shorty from Killer Klowns to Roman and cowboy costumes. Some participants planned to enter costume contests later in the evening.
Several streets in Wynwood were partially closed to accommodate the festivities, with police officers stationed at corners to ensure safety. A man in a Phantom of the Opera costume noted the visible police presence, contributing to a secure environment.
Miami Police Chief Edwin Lopez was also present in Wynwood, anticipating thousands of people to participate in the Halloween events throughout the night. The celebrations brought together a diverse group of attendees enjoying the holiday spirit in Miami.
