Flávio Bolsonaro arrives in Miami after Brazil election defeat

Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, arrived in Miami after losing the recent presidential election in Brazil, WSVN 7News reported. His departure followed a surprising sequence of events after the election saw Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva defeat Bolsonaro's camp.

Bolsonaro had initially denied plans to leave Brazil despite being under investigation for money laundering and corruption, but he departed shortly after, according to WSVN 7News. His arrival in Miami was confirmed on Wednesday.

The election and Bolsonaro's exit triggered a wave of political memes across Brazilian social media, as noted by both WSVN 7News and WPLG Local 10. These memes used humor and irony to comment on the political situation, featuring Bolsonaro in various playful disguises and referencing the election results.

Bolsonaro posted a letter from Miami declaring himself the "true president-elect of Brazil," a claim he later softened to "leader," while alleging election fraud without presenting evidence, WSVN 7News reported.

The memes and Bolsonaro's Miami arrival highlight the ongoing political tensions in Brazil and the role of social media in shaping public discourse around the election.
