Voting open for high school athletes of the week in multiple regions

Several regional sports outlets have opened voting for their Athlete of the Week honors covering performances from October 26 to 31. The Star Press in Indiana features a combined poll for Football Player and Athlete of the Week nominees due to the fall sports season winding down. Notable nominees include Brady Millspaugh from Jay County football and Carlos Echols Jr. from Muncie Central football, among others.

TCPalm in Florida has separate polls for Boys and Girls Athletes of the Week, with nominees from various sports such as golf, swimming, bowling, football, and cross country. Highlights include Gatlin Albright leading his golf team to a district title and Aidan Pierre rushing for over 150 yards and three touchdowns in football.

The Battle Creek Enquirer in Michigan also opened voting for their Athlete of the Week, highlighting performances from local high schools. Nominees include Elijah Bowron who scored multiple touchdowns in an 8-player football playoff game and Emmy Nofs who qualified for the state cross country championships for the fourth consecutive year.

Each outlet encourages fans to vote multiple times before their respective deadlines, with winners receiving recognition and sometimes commemorative shirts. These polls aim to celebrate standout high school athletic performances across a range of sports.

Voting deadlines vary by outlet, with The Star Press poll closing at 11:59 p.m. ET on November 5, TCPalm polls closing by Thursday, and Battle Creek Enquirer voting ending at 5 p.m. on November 4.
