WRAL News app update improves navigation, live video and dark mode

WRAL reported that the WRAL News app has been updated with several new features aimed at improving user experience for local news consumers in the Raleigh area.

The app now offers quicker access to favorite news categories through a new quick-access menu at the top of the home screen, allowing users to tap or swipe between sections more easily.

The home page layout has been refreshed to make browsing the day's news more convenient, with some sections scrolling horizontally and others highlighting single stories or topics such as the latest weather.

Additionally, the update makes it easier to find and watch WRAL's live streams, enhancing access to live local news coverage.

Users can also benefit from improved breaking news alerts and a new dark mode option, providing a more comfortable viewing experience in low-light conditions.
