X has introduced an updated version of its web app that delivers significantly faster loading times, according to The Verge. The company is gradually rolling out the new app to signed-in users, launching it one country at a time.

The Verge reported that the new app drastically reduces the time it takes to load a profile over a slow connection, from over 22 seconds on the old app to just 2.7 seconds on the updated version. This improvement was explained by X's principal engineer, Yagiz Nizipli.

The update also consolidates the infrastructure by replacing three separate servers used for people, search crawlers, and link previews with a single server, streamlining the web experience.

Security researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who had early access to the new app, described it as feeling "snappy," loading quickly, and having many polished elements, as noted by The Verge.

Currently, the new app is fully available for logged-out users on X.com and for pages indexed by search engines, with the rollout to signed-in users continuing progressively.

This update aims to enhance user experience by improving speed and efficiency on the platform's web interface, with further expansion planned as the rollout continues.
