Content License, Publication and Licensing- Revenue Share
Version 0.1-draft · draft · effective October 24, 2026
You keep your copyright. Entrants (and Parents, for minors) keep ownership of their essays and artwork.
License to GET News. By submitting, you grant The GET Network, Inc. and its affiliates a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, display, distribute, translate, edit for length, clarity and style (without changing meaning), adapt into audio or video readings, and promote your submission in any media now known or later developed, including GET News, GET TV, newsletters, social media, the annual anthology, educational materials and promotional materials, always with credit to you as the author (using the credit rules in D1 Section 10 for children). [COUNSEL: confirm scope, minors' capacity to grant, and any right of withdrawal before publication.]
Outside licensing and revenue share. If we license your submission to an unaffiliated publication or publisher for a fee, we will pay you (or your Parent) fifty percent (50%) of the net fee we receive, within sixty (60) days after we receive it. We will ask your permission before any such outside license. [DECISION/COUNSEL: confirm opt-in vs. notice.]
Your representations. You confirm the submission is your original work, you have the right to grant this license, and it does not infringe anyone's rights or include anyone's private information without consent.
Removal. You may ask us to stop displaying your submission on your profile or portfolio at any time. Published Contest results, articles already distributed and the anthology may remain.
