The Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department has issued a boil water advisory for customers in parts of the Coosaw Creek neighborhood due to an emergency water line repair, Live 5 WCSC reported.

The advisory affects residents on East Fairway Woods, Wild Thicket Lane, Heron’s Walk, Scottish Troon Court, and McChune Court, according to WCBD Count on 2.

Officials advise residents to boil water vigorously for at least one full minute before using it for drinking or cooking once water service is restored. They also recommend avoiding ice made from unboiled water for drinking purposes.

The Water and Sewer Department will notify customers when the water is safe to use again. Residents with questions can contact Customer Service at 843-832-0075 or 843-563-0075.
