WBTV reported that Charlotte will experience a warm and sunny start to the week, with temperatures reaching around 70 degrees on Sunday and Monday. Clear skies and light winds Sunday night could allow temperatures to drop to about 40 degrees, raising the possibility of frost in parts of the area, especially along the I-40 corridor.

The mild weather is expected to continue through Wednesday, with dry conditions making it a good time for outdoor activities. However, a cold front approaching Thursday may bring a 30% chance of afternoon showers in Charlotte, with temperatures near 70 degrees before the front passes.

Following the cold front, temperatures are forecast to fall significantly, with highs around 60 degrees on Friday and Saturday and lows near 30 degrees Saturday night. Frost advisories are in effect for portions of the foothills and northern Charlotte metro counties, so residents are advised to protect sensitive plants.

WBTV also noted that there is a chance of snow in the higher mountains near the North Carolina-Tennessee border late in the week, but the timing and amount of precipitation could change. Residents are encouraged to stay updated through WBTV’s weather app and streaming services for the latest forecasts and alerts.
