A crash in Northeast Charlotte closed all lanes of I-485 outer past exit 36 near Rocky River Road on Saturday, WBTV reported.
The crash, involving a semi truck and a car, was reported around 4:30 p.m. Both vehicles showed signs of fire damage, according to the state’s traffic map.
Medic officials said one person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The lane closures caused traffic backups for miles, affecting secondary roads as well. Traffic was flowing through the shoulder of the road during the closure.
The State Highway Patrol told WBTV they were waiting for tow trucks to remove the semi truck from the scene.
