Chesterfield to hold community forum on data center development
Chesterfield County will host a forum to address resident questions and provide information about data centers.
Chesterfield County officials are hosting a community forum on Tuesday, Oct. 27, to inform residents about data center development in the area, NBC12 reported.
The Chesterfield Board of Supervisors and county staff have received hundreds of questions and comments regarding data centers, prompting the decision to hold a forum for better engagement with the community.
The forum will be moderated by industry experts, including Dean Lynch, executive director of the Virginia Association of Counties, and will feature representatives from Google, Chirisa, and Dominion Energy.
This event aims to provide residents with a comprehensive understanding of data center projects and address concerns raised by the community.
In July, Chesterfield County also launched a website to keep residents updated on the latest developments related to data centers, enhancing transparency and communication.
