Cooler November weekend with highs in mid-60s and possible frost in some areas
Elizabeth City area to experience dry, calm weather with chilly mornings and potential frost Sunday.
A quiet and true November fall weekend is settling into the Elizabeth City area, according to WITN. Residents can expect dry conditions and calm weather with daytime highs in the mid-60s and nighttime lows ranging from the 30s to low 40s.
Some nearby counties may experience a light, patchy frost on Sunday morning, so locals are advised to dress warmly in the mornings. Winds will come from the northwest at speeds of 10 to 20 mph.
The cooler air and sunshine will linger, with temperatures holding in the upper 60s to low 70s during the next few days. Nighttime temperatures inland will be in the low to mid-40s, while coastal areas will see lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Looking ahead to late next week and the following weekend, temperatures are expected to drop further, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s, bringing a more December-like feel. This period could bring the first frost of the season, so residents are encouraged to winterize their gardens soon.
