The Arrowspace S1 electric screwdriver incorporates a camera and built-in AI to identify the exact bit required to tighten or loosen a screw, according to The Verge.

The device captures an image of the screw head using a small camera with an LED light, aided by a precision contact probe to maintain ideal focus distance for the AI model.

Once the AI analyzes the image, it displays the bit type and size needed, helping users avoid the common issue of using the wrong bit and potentially stripping screws.

Arrowmax offers the screwdriver alone for around $79 or bundled with a smart bit case for about $129 during a Kickstarter preorder campaign, with full retail prices expected to be higher.

The smart bit case enhances the screwdriver's functionality by showing users where to find the identified bit. Shipping is anticipated to begin no earlier than April 2027.
