The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of South Florida, including Miami, until 7:00 p.m. Monday. The watch covers areas such as Glades, Hendry, Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, both inland and coastal regions.

An upper-level low pressure system influencing storms over the Gulf and Bahamas is expected to continue through Monday, creating conditions favorable for heavy rainfall and slow-moving storm cells. However, the exact timing and location of heavy rain remain uncertain.

The NWS advises that heavy rain may cause or worsen urban and street flooding, with isolated to scattered flash flooding possible. The main impacts are expected to be street flooding, road closures, and limited flooding to structures in flood-prone areas.

Rainfall amounts are forecasted to be between 1 to 3 inches in most areas, with some scattered locations potentially receiving 3 to 5 inches. Isolated spots could see as much as 6 to 9 inches of rain, with rapid accumulation occurring over 2 to 4 hours.

Residents are encouraged to stay alert for updates, avoid driving through flooded roads, and take precautions in flood-prone areas to ensure safety during the watch period.
