Gerry Cardinale's RedBird Capital Partners and Guy Oseary's Sound Ventures have announced a joint investment partnership targeting up to $1 billion in emerging platforms at the intersection of technology, media, and culture, Variety reported.

RedBird, known for its investments in Skydance and the takeover of Paramount Global, will contribute expertise from its dedicated AI investment platform, RedBird X, to the partnership, according to Variety.

Sound Ventures, led by Guy Oseary and Effie Epstein, brings extensive access to founders and marketing skills, with a portfolio including Anthropic, OpenAI, Spotify, and Uber, Hollywood Reporter noted.

The partnership aims to leverage RedBird's global business-building experience and Sound Ventures' founder relationships to support the next generation of technology companies, as stated by both firms in their announcements.

RedBird has invested in over 50 companies with an enterprise value exceeding $82 billion, while Sound Ventures manages more than $2 billion in assets, underscoring the scale of this new collaboration.

The firms plan to deploy the fund to back exceptional entrepreneurs and companies operating at the convergence of technology, media, and culture, combining their complementary strengths to maximize impact.
