Paddington the Musical has extended its run in London's West End through June 25, 2028, due to unprecedented ticket demand, Deadline reported. The production is approaching its first anniversary at the Savoy Theatre.

The musical recently swept the 2026 Olivier Awards, tying the record with seven wins including best new musical, best director, and best actor awards, according to Variety. It also won nine WhatsOnStage Awards and the Critics’ Circle Award for best new musical.

Based on Michael Bond's 1958 book 'A Bear Called Paddington' and the 2014 film adaptation, the show tells the story of a marmalade-loving bear from Peru who finds a new home with the Brown family in London. The production features music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher and a book by Jessica Swale, with direction by Luke Sheppard.

Hollywood Reporter noted that the show uses a combination of a full-body bear costume and remote puppetry to bring Paddington to life. The current cast includes performers for Paddington's voice, puppetry, and on-stage roles, alongside a supporting cast portraying characters like Lady Sloane and Mr. Brown.

The musical's continued success has also led to plans for new productions opening on Broadway in March 2027 and in Sydney in September 2027, as reported by Hollywood Reporter.

Tickets for the extended London run are now on sale, offering audiences more opportunities to experience the award-winning production.
