Jesse Sisgold, the longtime head of Skydance Sports, is departing his role to take on an advisory position at RedBird Capital, a backer of Skydance, Deadline reported. This move is part of a broader restructuring under George Cheeks, the newly appointed head of Skydance TV.

George Cheeks has unveiled a new leadership team for Skydance TV, which now encompasses studios, sports, entertainment, and news divisions, according to Deadline and Hollywood Reporter. The reorganization follows the completion of the Warner Bros. Discovery deal, expanding Cheeks' responsibilities to include major cable channels and the largest TV studio in Hollywood.

Under the new structure, Channing Dungey will continue leading Warner Bros. TV Studios and oversee the combined company's cable channels. Bryon Rubin is named COO of Skydance TV, overseeing CBS Television Stations, while David Stapf and Matt Thunell will lead CBS Studios and Paramount Television Studios, respectively.

Skydance Sports Entertainment will now fall under Cheeks' oversight following Sisgold's exit. David Berson remains head of Skydance’s Global Sports Group, and Amy Reisenbach continues to lead CBS Entertainment. Other key leadership appointments include Mike Benson for marketing and Laurel Weir for research and programming.

Sisgold's departure marks a significant leadership change at Skydance Sports, with his new advisory role at RedBird Capital signaling a shift in the company's sports entertainment division. The leadership team aims to deliver strong storytelling and maximize the value of their programming and brands, emphasizing collaboration across the organization, Hollywood Reporter noted.
