Sacramento seeks community input for new police chief search

The city of Sacramento has launched a community engagement process to gather input from residents regarding the search for a new police chief, KCRA reported.

Officials are encouraging Sacramento residents to participate in discussions and provide feedback on qualities and priorities they want in the next police chief.

This effort aims to ensure the new leader reflects the community's values and addresses local concerns about policing.

The city will use the input collected to guide the recruitment and selection process for the police chief position.
