Sacramento man charged with murder after wife’s remains found
A Sacramento man is charged with murder after his wife’s burned remains were discovered, contradicting his claim she was taken by ICE.
A Sacramento man is in custody on suspicion of murdering his wife, whose burned and buried remains were found about 70 miles from their home, according to zerohedge.com.
The man initially told investigators that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had detained his wife when she went missing on September 30. However, authorities confirmed no ICE activity occurred at their residence.
Investigators uncovered inconsistencies in his story and discovered the remains, later identified as his wife, a 30-year-old registered nurse originally from India and mother of their 8-month-old child.
The couple had been involved in a divorce and child custody dispute at the time of her disappearance. The wife’s cousin reported her missing on October 4, and the husband was arrested on October 14 with no bail eligibility.
Search warrants were executed at two homes linked to the man during the investigation, which led to the murder charge.
This case highlights the ongoing investigation by local authorities into the disappearance and death of the woman in Sacramento.
