Saturday is last day for early voting and voter registration in North Carolina
North Carolina voters have until 3 p.m. Saturday to vote early or register to vote, WRAL reports.
WRAL reported that Saturday is the final day for early voting in North Carolina for the 2026 midterm elections. Voters must cast their ballots at any early voting location within their registered county by 3 p.m. on that day.
In addition to early voting, Saturday is also the last opportunity for residents to register to vote or update their registration information before the election. This deadline applies statewide, including Raleigh and surrounding areas.
Early voting turnout has reached the highest level in 26 years, with over 2.5 million ballots cast so far. This represents about 30% of eligible voters and a 34% increase compared to previous midterm elections, according to WRAL.
Analysts note that key races, such as the U.S. Senate contest, have heightened voter engagement. Voters have expressed that early voting provides convenience and flexibility, encouraging more participation ahead of the November election day.
