T&T Supermarket opens first San Francisco location with full-service cafe
The Canada-based Asian grocer opened its SF store at 2675 Geary Blvd. featuring exclusive items and a cafe.
T&T Supermarket, known as the 'Asian Costco,' opened its first San Francisco location on November 5 at 2675 Geary Blvd., next to the Target at City Center, KRON4 reported.
This store marks the grocer's second Bay Area location after its San Jose debut in June, which attracted large crowds on opening day, according to KRON4.
The San Francisco store is the first in the U.S. to include a full-service cafe, with CEO Tina Lee recommending the Black Sesame Latte, which can be made with protein milk for health-conscious customers, KRON4 noted.
Additional features of the SF location include a buffet-style hot food bar, BBQ station, sushi counter, pork bun station, and a beauty section with Korean and Japanese products. Exclusive bakery items like the 'City Hall Mousse Cake' and the U.S. debut of the 'Butter Bun' are also available, KRON4 reported.
The store operates daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the first 300 customers each day through November 8 will receive free gifts such as fridge magnets, while supplies last, KRON4 stated.
T&T Supermarket plans to launch an online shopping service including the San Francisco store in December, KRON4 added.
