The Washington Wizards secured a 124-120 win against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night, with Trae Young contributing 25 points and nine assists, according to Yahoo Sports.
Kyshawn George also played a key role for the Wizards, scoring 22 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the game, which was the first of a three-game trip for Washington.
The Bulls' Caleb Wilson recorded 30 points and 14 rebounds, marking his first double-double, but the team struggled with shooting, making only 23% of their three-point attempts over three games.
Chicago led by as many as 10 points before being outscored 40-20 in the third quarter, with Young assisting on a key dunk that gave the Wizards a 97-80 lead late in the quarter.
The Wizards played without their No. 1 draft pick AJ Dybantsa, who is day to day with a sprained left ankle, delaying his NBA debut, while the Bulls were missing Noa Essengue and Patrick Williams due to injuries.
Chicago opened the second quarter with a 10-0 run, but Washington held a 62-57 lead at halftime after a late three-pointer by Tre Johnson.
The Wizards' victory marks a strong start to their road trip and highlights Young's leadership on the court.
