Yahoo Sports published a Week 9 fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em column offering advice for defenses, tight ends, and wide receivers, aiming to help managers make informed roster decisions beyond obvious picks.

For defenses, the Chicago Bears are recommended against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to their strong run defense and recent fantasy point production, according to Yahoo Sports. The Jacksonville Jaguars defense is also highlighted for facing a Ravens team starting a third-string quarterback, and the Houston Texans defense is noted for a potential bounce-back game against the low-scoring Los Angeles Chargers.

At tight end, Harold Fannin Jr. is advised as a start due to his recent high reception and yardage totals and a favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Kyle Pitts Sr. is suggested as a potential starter against the Cincinnati Bengals, who have allowed significant tight end production this season. Sam LaPorta is projected for a bounce-back performance against the Miami Dolphins, who have surrendered notable fantasy points to tight ends.

Regarding wide receivers, Mike Evans is recommended as a start if he returns from an Achilles injury, facing the Las Vegas Raiders who have allowed substantial fantasy points to outside receivers. Parker Washington is projected for a strong performance against the Baltimore Ravens, who have allowed high yardage and receptions to receivers this season. Keenan Allen is also mentioned as a productive PPR option this season.

Yahoo Sports encourages fantasy managers to monitor player statuses and matchups closely and offers Twitter contact for further questions, emphasizing the goal of identifying fringe players who could impact weekly fantasy wins.
