Michael Douglas says Jack Nicholson is well but has 'disappeared' from acting

Michael Douglas provided an update on Jack Nicholson's status during a recent event promoting his memoir, Variety reported. Douglas said Nicholson is no longer working but is well and has 'disappeared' from the public eye.

Douglas mentioned that he still sees Nicholson, who spends time near his house and walks around in slippers. He acknowledged Nicholson's age, noting he is a few years older than himself.

Though the two actors never appeared together on screen, Douglas produced the 1975 film 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,' which starred Nicholson and won five Oscars, including best actor for Nicholson.

Nicholson has not appeared in a film since 2010's 'How Do You Know' and has rarely been photographed publicly. His daughter shared a birthday photo of him in April, but it was unclear when it was taken.
