Space infrastructure company Northwood Space secured $375 million in Series C funding to expand satellite communication technology.
Northwood Space, a company specializing in space infrastructure, announced it raised $375 million in a Series C funding round, according to TechCrunch.
The funding round was co-led by venture firms Andreessen Horowitz and DFJ Growth, valuing Northwood Space at $2 billion.
Founded in 2022, Northwood develops antennas, software, and technologies that enhance satellite communication with Earth.
The company previously raised $100 million in a Series B round earlier this year and holds a nearly $50 million contract with the U.S. Space Force to upgrade the satellite control network.
The latest funding, combined with a financial agreement with HSBC, will support scaling operations, hiring, and fulfilling existing contracts, the startup said.
