Washington D.C. police are actively searching for a second suspect connected to a daylight shooting that occurred on the 2700 block of 14th Street Northwest on September 27, FOX 5 DC reported.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. when a gunman approached a victim on the street, fired a handgun, and fled the scene. The victim was hospitalized, but authorities have not disclosed their identity or current condition.

A 15-year-old boy from Northeast D.C. was arrested on October 1 and charged with assault with intent to kill while armed. However, police say another individual was involved in the shooting, though the exact role remains unspecified.

Surveillance footage captured the second suspect, and police have released images to the public to aid identification. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact police at 202-727-9099 or submit anonymous tips via text to 50411, advising against taking any direct action themselves.
