Road closures in DC for Veterans Day parade, race, and movie filming this weekend
Washington DC will see several road closures Sunday for the Veterans Day parade, race, and movie filming in Adams Morgan and Anacostia.
This weekend, Washington DC will experience multiple road closures due to events honoring veterans and a movie production. WTOP reported that a film crew is working in the Adams Morgan and Anacostia neighborhoods throughout the weekend.
On Sunday, the National Veterans Parade events start early with a 5K race near the National Archives at Constitution Avenue and 7th Street Northwest beginning at 8 a.m. The parade follows at noon, traveling west along Constitution Avenue toward the White House.
DC police announced that several streets will have 'emergency no parking' restrictions and intermittent traffic closures starting Saturday and continuing through Sunday evening to accommodate these events. Specific streets affected include those near the parade route and filming locations.
Vehicle traffic will be prohibited on certain streets from about 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. These measures aim to ensure safety and smooth operation of the parade, race, and filming activities in the city.
