The Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento County Coroner's Office have confirmed that human remains discovered in October belong to Lovett "LJ" Moore, a blind man who went missing in 2025, FOX40 reported.

Moore, 33, was last seen on June 28, 2025, at a gas station on Arena Boulevard in Sacramento. Surveillance footage showed him with three people walking him out of a store toward a vehicle, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

His remains were found near East Commerce Way and Tanzanite Avenue shortly before 8:45 a.m. on October 26, as confirmed by local authorities.

Sacramento City Councilmember Lisa Kaplan’s office had previously indicated they believed the remains were Moore’s and were awaiting official confirmation from the coroner’s office, FOX40 added.
