Several Charlotte-area restaurants open on Thanksgiving 2026

As Thanksgiving approaches on Thursday, November 26, 2026, several restaurant chains plan to welcome guests in the Charlotte area who prefer dining out over cooking at home, according to reports from wjrz.com and kicks99.com.

Cracker Barrel will offer its traditional Thanksgiving meal starting at 11 a.m. local time, featuring holiday favorites and a Country Fried Turkey option with classic sides. Guests can check the restaurant's online waitlist before visiting.

Denny's expects most locations to remain open 24 hours on Thanksgiving, serving a Turkey & Dressing meal that includes carved turkey breast, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and two sides. Pumpkin and pecan pies will also be available.

Waffle House will operate 24/7 on Thanksgiving, providing options for breakfast or late-night meals, including their regular pancake offerings. IHOP also plans to open on the holiday, though hours may vary by location.

For those seeking a more upscale dining experience, The Capital Grille will serve a chef-prepared holiday meal with slow-roasted turkey, brioche sage stuffing, green beans, cranberry-pear chutney, mashed potatoes, seasonal sides, and pumpkin cheesecake.
